The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) in the US has over four decades of experience in energy and sustainable development training. Its Certification training courses are presented in Sub-Saharan Africa and Indian Ocean Islands by Energy Training Foundation (EnTF), sole training partner of the AEE for this region.
Certification in energy engineering is part of quality management. It establishes a standard of professional competence which is recognised throughout the energy industry and in over 100 countries.
Professionals seeking Certification must meet an AEE Board-approved list of pre-qualifications and experience in the field and/or prior educational achievements. A Continuing Professional Competency (CPC) programme is a pre-requisite for Certification renewal and promotes quality through continuing education to assure a high level of competence within the constantly changing energy industry. In South Africa, course attendance contributes to CPD credits for Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) professional engineering registration renewal requirements.
The development of an individual’s professional capabilities is fostered through encouragement of long-term career goals.
When earning an AEE credential through the Certification programmes, you are distinguishing yourself among colleagues in your field and demonstrating high levels of experience, competence and specialised knowledge.
Certification is recognised across all industries in South Africa, and is a preferred qualification when quantifying savings with all the major authorities in the country.
